A quay is stone or concrete structure that abuts a body of water, and is similar to a wharf. Traditionally used to land ships and boats, many quays today are vibrant public spaces that have outdoor recreation and entertainment as their primary function.
If you would like to construct a quay for your town or city, visit AECOM or AW Maritime.
If you would like to visit some wonderful quays in Australia, you can visit Circular Quay in Sydney (bottom left) or Southbank in Melbourne (bottom right).
